It is a struggle sometimes to get them to realize when she is truly listening, or just playing along.Mom to Toeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13261371980274169860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36071279.post-57415825033119187692009-02-23T06:42:00.000+01:002009-02-23T06:42:00.000+01:00Hello! There is overt or subtle punishment for not understanding, so when the child does not understand, he (or she) covers or bluffs. Mark Drolsbaugh has written a great deal about this at www.deaf-culture-online.com Worth a look if you have never fisited the site before. Search for "social bluffing" to find the postings about this.

DavidAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36071279.post-41467192863913334592009-02-22T18:15:00.000+01:002009-02-22T18:15:00.000+01:00it is amaazing how we deaf or ci people can adapt ...it is amaazing how we deaf or ci people can adapt our survival skills we feel more vibrations around us or take to lipreading! its a good skill! :D xWww.lozsmedicsljourney.blogspot.co.ukhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04054921630845997488noreply@blogger.com
