For the record...
Last week, Lotte surprised us.... we heared her say.....
"Oma, ik heb een beetje pijn aan mijn tanden."
A 9-word sentence straight out of the blue... well, out of the blue....
A couple of days before that she said a perfectly pronounced sentence before breakfast....
"Pappa, gaan we straks bolletjes eten?"
Sorry about this little post on the blog, but like it says in the title..... it's for the record.....
It's so easy to enjoy these moments and still forgetting to really register the event....

Congratulations to Lotte!
I liked this post, it may be a little post but you have recorded a giant leap in this journey. Truly inspiring!
Slightly out of context and just out of curiosity, have you thought about teaching her English some time down the line? Are there any multilingual CI kids that you already know?
I used to wonder (of course not to worry! :-)) how my niece Anasooya is going to cope when she goes to school where there are atleast 2 'new' languages to be learnt starting from 5th standard (~age of 10 for normal hearing kids).
Best Regards!
Pratheesh
Well, she allready speaks/learns norwegian and dutch. English will be learned gradually (we speak a lot of english) and shell get it in school from when she's 7....
She'll be multilangual!!
Wow! that was so nice to hear.
Well, in our case we don't speak English at home. Both English and Hindi(The nat. language) will be learnt from school. Hope Anasooya will pick up those very fast.
BTW, all those photographs on your blog are so lovely!
